quite normal. in fact, serious buyers will undertake 3, 4 or 5 viewings over the course of the transaction.

It's not abnormal, but it's not necessarily that common either. If you like the house at first viewing you don't need to come back - unless you want to check some things or you want to get a second opinion from a friend or relative.

Coming for more than two viewings is definitely not normal. I have never experienced more than two viewings from the same interested parties when I was selling my house.

A second viewing is completely normal and I too think it would be more of a concern if they didn't want to come around again. If they had any doubts they would have had a second viewing/pulled out before paying out for the survey.

We only had one viewing when we bought - no need for multiple viewings because we were sure it was right for us. And the guy who bought from us also only came once.
  • Our buyer only viewed once, thank goodness as didnt enjoy showing people round.House we bought was occupied the first viewing, then they moved out.We took my father in law whos a builder to look round 2nd time and third time our 2 teenage sons came to see it.

Me, but then I don't understand why some people can't remember what they have seen.

Must be nice having a photographic memory. Most people find it hard to remember every detail in perfect clarity after one viewing I'm afraid.
