Whereabouts are you in Essex ?
I know where the wholesalers are around Colchester/Braintree/Chelmsford area for getting the letters or pillows or any other shape you'd like.

My mother in law does wreaths and letters if you didn't want to do them yourself for alot less than the shops
There is a forgotten, nay almost forbidden word which means more to me than any other. That word is England.

Is your Nan to be buried in a plot and have a headstone?

If she is you can get personalised flower holders that sit by the headstone they look like vases but have a spike so you can secure them in the ground.

    I'm sorry for your loss.

Is there a particular flower she liked or colours that mean something? When my grandpa died my brother sent flowers in Celtic colours.
May all your dots fall silently to the ground.

A gold marker pen can be used, also another few ideas ..I have used local t-shirt printer type shop and they have printed on ribbon for me ,local engraver has made a plaque (sp?) type thing that I have placed in flowers
  • Hello, I've got a friend of mine who runs an independant florist's shop. She may be able to help as she does bespoke arrangements for funerals. She's got a website here: http://www.cavendishflowers.com

Don't know if that's the sort of thing you're looking for, but sorry to hear about your loss anyway.

I wouldn't just look online or at interflora: they do 'set' prices AFAIK whereas if you contact the florist direct they may have 'local' prices.

I know if you want to send flowers a distance it's almost always cheaper to identify a florist local to delivery and contact them direct than just use Interflora!
