I've done a bit better this year than last. But never had a 'big' win. And I was thinking yesterday that I have been comping for three years and have never won an instant comp even though I do loads!

Weird how it goes, 80%+ of my wins are instant. (FB mostly) Weirdly I've won more than once on the same instant. (Not Dorset + most web ones)

    Can't strike a biggie (more than £200)

Ecover FB 1st September and nowt since:eek:

Only a razor for me since July 5th, but at least the odd tesco glitch keeps a smile on my face
  • I've managed a win a month since starting but I expected so much more. I don't think I'm being greedy, it's just that I enter thousands a month and I thought I would have got more back from it. I've not won anything since my Asda win last month. Maybe it's because I don't do the rafflecopters and the twitter comps and don't always do the dailies.
  • Glamourpuss looking at your signature I would say you have done very well as a newbie, it can take a long time - thats why a lot stop- and can be very stop start in terms of prizes

To the OP, I spent two years without a big win and not many small ones then in 18 months I won a Las Vegas Holiday, LA holiday, 2 x Centre parcs holidays, £500 in vouchers etc

Then this year up until September it has been slower again

It really does depend. Personally i don't bother with the daily mags etc as I think they take too long and focus more on the main board
July 2015 Wins- Shaun The Sheep Goody Bag, 4x Books

    Year to date: £786

    Total to date ( Since 2008 ) = £37,345

lol, the comping fairy has been at work.

4 hours after my post yesterday (at 10.30pm never had a WEM at this time of night) I received an email to say I've won 2 tickets to the opera from a competition I posted.

Hopefully the comping fairy will make more visits to others today

Ok, I'll admit it. IT'S ME. I've been winning all the prizes. And eating all the pies too :p

Well, perhaps not quite ALL the prizes, but I've had a fab few weeks. Won 5 prizes over the last 4 weeks ish. 4 of them what I think of as good'ns - not huge, but defo not small. Then yesterday I won a small but nice prize, a tee shirt on an instant.

So it's all MY fault :o:j:o:j:o:j

I think comping has become much more popular so people aren't winning as much as they used to.

I haven't done too badly just recently though. A couple of weeks ago I won a travel cot, then picked as a rimmel foundation reviewer...which lead to me winning a rimmel goodie bag. I also won a MAM dummy (for my baby. Not me :D). Then a couple of days ago I won 10,000 nectar points :)

Thanks all, and good luck and lot's of winning fairy dust for you all, won't give up yet, especially as have had to rush our cat to the vets twice in the last 2 days, and come home over £100 lighter, only to find out it was a different vet who told us he was to fat and to put him on a special dry food diet, and it turns out it's that that has caused problems with his bladder, and am now trying to get him to take his medication, so a little money win would be prefect just about now, as have had to dip into our holiday funds and we go in just over 3 weeks

Ouch! Vet bills huh? Not fun. Thought this might be useful for you. It's called

How to give a cat a pill

    1) Pick cat up and cradle it in the crook of your left arm as if holding a baby. Position right forefinger and thumb on either side of cat's mouth and gently apply pressure to cheeks while holding pill in right hand. As cat opens mouth pop pill into mouth. Allow cat to close mouth and swallow.

    2) Retrieve pill from floor and cat from behind sofa. Cradle cat in left arm and repeat process.

    3) Retrieve cat from bedroom, and throw soggy pill away.

    4) Take new pill from foil wrap, cradle cat in left arm holding rear paws tightly with left hand. Force jaws open and push pill to back of mouth with right forefinger. Hold mouth shut for a count of ten.

    5) Retrieve pill from goldfish bowl and cat from top of wardrobe. Call spouse from garden.

    6) Kneel on floor with cat wedged firmly between knees, hold front and rear paws. Ignore low growls emitted by cat. Get spouse to hold head firmly with one hand while forcing wooden ruler into mouth. Drop pill down ruler and rub cat's throat vigorously.

    7) Retrieve cat from curtain rail, get another pill from foil wrap. Make note to buy new ruler and repair curtains. Carefully sweep shattered figurines and vases from hearth and set to one side for gluing later.

    8) Wrap cat in large towel and get spouse to lie on cat with head just visible from below armpit. Put pill in end of drinking straw, force mouth open with pencil and blow down drinking straw.

    9) Check label to make sure pill not harmful to humans, drink glass of water to take taste away. Apply band-aid to spouse's forearm and remove blood from carpet with cold water and soap.

    10) Retrieve cat from neighbour's shed. Get another pill. Place cat in cupboard and close door onto neck to leave head showing. Force mouth open with dessert spoon. Flick pill down throat with elastic band.

    11) Fetch screwdriver from garage and put cupboard door back on hinges. Apply cold compress to cheek and check records for date of last tetanus jab. Throw Tee-shirt away and fetch new one from bedroom.

    12) Ring fire brigade to retrieve cat from tree across the road. Apologize to neighbour who crashed into fence while swerving to avoid cat. Take last pill from foil-wrap.

    13) Tie cat's front paws to rear paws with garden twine and bind tightly to leg of dining table, find heavy duty pruning gloves from shed. Push pill into mouth followed by large piece of fillet steak. Hold head vertically and pour 2 pints of water down throat to wash pill down.

    14) Get spouse to drive you to the emergency room, sit quietly while doctor stitches fingers and forearm and removes pill remnants from right eye. Call furniture shop on way home to order new table.

    15) Arrange for RSPCA to collect cat and ring local pet shop to see if they have any hamsters.

HOW TO GIVE A DOG A PILL:

    1) Wrap it in Cheese.
