Warning....I ordered a rear exhaust box for my Zafira 2003.They even had the number plate reg................Oops they sent me the earlier model part.
I phoned up and was told they couldn't supply the 2003 part(patent)need to go to Vauxhall.I said that I will return this with reasonable secured postage of £5.99.Please can you add this to my original costs I paid.No problem I was advised.
I phoned,after they had received this for over 28hours,to be advised that they will not be returning the postage(company policy),yet the website does say diferent,to which I advised them......
Here's what it says on the website,before they take your money....
Wrong parts supplied
If the reason for return is the result of our error, we will refund the parts and carriage costs, providing they are returned within 7 days, they have not been fitted and are in original condition & packaging
I have reported it to the consumers helpline and know they are in breach of
contract...distant selling regulations.
Awaiting their comments from the MD via email,before I draft a recorded letter to them.
Intresting as consumers direct actually said I should also try to claim the additional cost difference at Vauxhall.Can't be right?

Usually the story can go from bad to worse when you chase your money.I
phoned them this afternoon and have asked them to put my complaint and order on the Managing Director desk for attention.
Luckily I spoke to the nice lady who had previously said I will get a full refund including my extra postage a few days before.
We'll see if they want to run this all the way for the sum of £5.99 which I am rightfully due.0 -
Just an update.As of today still no reply received from these on my postage refund.Time to take further action in writing a recorded letter and adding the costs to the sum.
Remember they supplied the wrong parts and they are refusing to compensate the return postage.0 -
Its not the firm I thought it was, these are in Burslem. Cant say as I have noticed any premesis for them though, Ill have a look if I pass that way.

Still no payment and the boss had said a cheque would be sent.We'll see next week what happens.
How will a customer ever want to return to a company like this who's aftersales are non existant.

isayoldchap you seem to be the only one posting in response to your own messages but I'm sure people are reading them, I am anyway.
I'm glad you finally received a refund. It sometimes pays to be persistent and plague the life out of some companies until they cave in.:D0 -

The frustration dealing with these cowboys was to see it out.
In just a few words from the idiot put in charge was to not refund the return postage for an incorrect exhaust box they supplied and despatched to me,even if their terms and conditions(oh and the law)said they will refund.
Thankfully the manager/owner who returned from his holidays saw otherwise.Problem was to get a cheque off of them took a few more weeks of chasing siting he couldn't put a refund back on the credit card.
Instant payment when you buy.Not so instant when they owe you for their errors.
You have been warned.Watch out if things go wrong with these jerks0
