Who is the manufacturer of Bush Tvs? wonder if it may be better dealing direct with the manufacturer

The 'Bush' trade name is owned by The Home Retail Group...part of which is Argos!

As to who made it probably one of several East European manufacturers, Vestel, Beko, UMC to name just a few. They won't be interested.

Is it worth sending the email to Argos and the Home retail group? As i see it nothing to lose

if theres no warrenty its unlikly the manufacturer will do anything, and legeally they dont have to.

for the SOGA, its up to the retailer to sort out.

some manufacturers are better than others and might offer to replace/fix as a good will.
Im not sure this will be the case with Bush thou.

i would suggest going into argos first to talk to them, they may well just sort it for you.
If they refuse, then you can take it further

Argos own the Bush brand so is the manufacturer, they just got one of the myriad of far east or Turkish companies to make it for them.

You can try but from previous threads they will simply come back with "out of warranty". It is up to you, after 6 months, to prove the fault is an inherent manufacturing defect.

I would say speak to someone at Argos first, either in store or by phone.

Technically, there is nothing wrong with that email, just seems a bit too confrontational for a first approach.

IMHO, when they have refused your reasonable request is the time to sent that email.
