Time to hunt out a new deal

I'm currently on Sky with standard BB, entertainment extra and standard line rental. Total should be £49 but as a gesture of goodwill, they discount me around £9 a month so I pay £40.55
I don't see this as a particularly good deal but when I've looked at the other two main contenders (BT and TT) there really isn't that much in it.
For example, with BT, the same package of standard BB is £16, Line rental £15.45 (I know you can pay in advance but I can't afford the one off hit) and basic youview (which is just freeview with a record facility) at £5. Total there is £36.45.
If I up that to Infinity , I will pay £23 for the BB, £15.45 for the line rental and £12.50 for the TV with extra channels. This comes in at £50.95
BT are offering small savings like infinity for £16 for the first 3 months but it is hardly an incentive imo. I know you can also get cashback on all of these deals but its never guaranteed so I never include it in the deal.
Talk Talk are offering 6 months half price so £7.75 for TV, BB and phone plus line rental for £15.40 meaning £23.15 for 6 months and then £30.90 after that. Fibre is an extra £5 for 6 months and then £10 thereafter.... so £40.90 per month but again, the TV is the basic package.
I suppose the question is... Am I missing anything on savings here? I'd like the BT sports for free but don't really see that its free considering BT are around £10 more expensive anyway.
If I'm not missing anything, it may be time to call and cancel to see whether Sky will offer me a retention deal. Any thoughts are appreciated and will always be 'thanked'

Ring up Virgin and ask if they can better the online deals, which they probably will. Then call Sky and say VM have offered this, convince me to stay.0

Then call Sky and lie that VM have offered better deal. Do they really check?0

Less than 50% or UK households have access to cable.
Bearing in mind that the other TV options you're considering are essentially Freeview, why not cancel the Sky TV subscription and wait a few weeks for them to come back to you with an offer of a discount?Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
Well I could just say that BT have offered me something different to try and get a good deal. The question was based more around whether I had my figures right or whether there were better savings to be made?0
