Interesting. MSE, is this offer dependent on ticking the box to receive your mail?

I think it working when some people ticked the box was just coincidence and it just happened to work at that moment as I didn't tick the box but eventually got it to work.

Ok, so according to MSE if we got the white box there could be a chance we have a code, but won't know for 48 hours. I wonder if you are successful in the next round you could potentially end up with two codes? What a mess.

MSE bang on about having overwhelming responses to these types of offers yet continue to not put in place measures to deal with them. They need to esimate then numbers likely then triple or quadruple them!

whose not gonna take the chance to grab a freebie?... It would've been better to dish all 10,000 out at once about midday... and then have something in place for all traffic.

In which case I may get a few then as I tried it with different email addresses as I have a few and some got a drop down some did not and I was clicking away like mad.
I started with nothing and I am proud to say I still have most of it left.
  • I managed to get a code at 10 a.m. Interesting people saying they clicked 'get code' and nothing happened because I thought the same, though the code actually appears on the same page just under 'get code' so make sure you scroll down to see it, otherwise as I say you might think nothing happened but a code is actually there. Good luck to everyone for the 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. code release later.

Got my code at 10am. Have already used it, booked and picked up my rail ticket for Monday's journey.

Although my ticket was over £30, I didn't receive the £5 free credit. Might be because I used the three Tesco free £5 vouchers sitting in my account from a couple of months ago. Might be worth noting that for others

  • i also got a code at 10am and the code did show up as Pemberton01 says. My problem is i wrote the code down and tried to use it and now i havent got a clue if its capitals, lower case etc, code isnt working no matter which way i type it.

Any idea how long the email take s to arrive?

Just input your code, copy and paste, straight into your Personal Details page on RSH. It will immediately show on your e-voucher page.

I should add I've always found Red Spotted Hanky quite difficult to navigate but have it all down to a fine art now!!

  • i will have to do it that way, just waiting on the email then i can copy and paste
