What is the most I can add on or ask for when upgrading my contract?

I wanna get the most out of it.

Is there a method to this madness?

Last time I really did want to cancel my contract and they rang after receiving my letter, to try to persuade me to stay.

Is this risky tactic the best option?

You can ask for what ever you want, although if its something extreme you wont get it.

What they will offer you is down to how much youve spent over the year and also down to your usage.
The other thing to consider is moving network and going through cashback sites etc and what they will give you for being a new customer.
