PayPal- removing payment option on eBay listing?

I am just in the process of listing on eBay, and now you can remove PayPal as a payment option just leaving bankers draft or postal order.
I wasn't aware that PayPal had changed their ruling, and that you have to offer it, but you didn't used to be able de select PayPal. Does anyone have any ideas ?

As far as I'm aware you still have to offer PP as an option (except cars/motorcycles/property), where did you read otherwise?0

how odd, just tried to list something and it didnt give me an option to remove pp.
Probably just a glitch.0 -
eBay have not changed the rules , it is probably a glitch or a misunderstanding on behalf of the OP.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Not accepting pp for my collectionNo you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!

Porto said you have to offer Paypal, what is that to do with your collection?0 -
Not accepting pp for my collection
"PAYPAL & POSTAGE OR CASH ON COLLECTION ONLY", it is then pretty self explanatory to the bidder that this is one of the terms of my auction, (I do accept PayPal by the way).
Recently I sold a Lego set and the winning bidder paid with PayPal minus the £8 odd quid postal charge then messaged me to say he would come and collect the Lego set as it was a birthday present for his 8 year old boy.
I sent the message back that I was not prepared to do this as it was not what my listing stated, I also checked how far away he lived via the RAC route finder and to "pick-up" the £40.00 Lego set was a 300 mile round trip for him, so I refunded his PayPal payment and said if he was picking up the Lego he could bring the cash as what he wanted to do was against ebay's buyer & seller protection terms i.e. he could pick up the Lego and as soon as he gets home do a PayPal charge back or open a item not received case and as I did not have any proof of delivery, I would lose my money & Lego.
I then get a message back stating how bad a seller I was, how rude I was & he would never buy anything from and I quote "someone like you", so I messaged him back and asked him to explain how I was a bad seller with over 10 years on ebay & 100% positive feedback of over 1100. Needless to say I didn't get a reply.

Except of course the default still shows as 'paypal accepted' and any buyer going through checkout, even to get your address will see the paypal as the default payment method.
I would watch your stars and fees as well, your buyer has cost you your FVFs and can leave you whatever feedback and stars he chooses and can also make a non performing seller complaint against you.
Much better to understand the risks *and* make sure you have your invoices set to charge the postage if they pay by paypal and make surwe they cannot be changed by buyer. Obviously that doesn't work if you show only collection , but as long as you realise you can't win if buyer refuses to repay and leaves bad feedback you will be fine.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
