MicroSD memory cards for mobile devices
Are all brands equal as far as memory cards are concerned?
I understand that the capacity is standard, but I remember a friend once mentioning that some memory cards have different speeds by which data can be accessed. He was talking about memory cards for his expensive Canon DLR, explaining that the higher the speed, the better.
Would this apply to phone memory too?

If you do plenty of pics and videos then yes perhaps.0

So, for a phone, it wouldn't matter really0

And how is the speed measured on the actual card?0

It's to do with the "class" of the card, the class number reflects the speed, as DUTR says, if you're snapping high res pics in succession then you may well notice the benefit of the fast SD card. Google SD card speed class or something similar and read up on it, I've used an iPhone for years so never needed to look into it, but I've heard for some top end phones it can make a difference.0

Would a Samsung micros SD card be suitable for a Huawei mobile device?

I would go for a class 10 Not class 6 to be on the safe side
i know that the 10 works fine in a Huawei plus its fast.Nobody is Perfect. I am Nobody, therefore I am Perfect.

Get a class 10 card. They are that expensive now. But you need to buy from a reputable source.
I used to get mine from play.com. But they are useless now. 200+ identical cards with its own listing from one seller.
I gave up looking. Never used play.com again.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

Did the same thing, put 2GB of data on it and then it wouldn't let me write any more. Turns out it was fake.
I now have a genuine Sandisk class 4 16GB card from a reputable source which works fine in my Huawei G300.0
