Long story short , my house has been up for sale for 5 years now... ive ditched the last agent as they were just not doing enough to market it , and even admitted it had become "stale"
Signed up with a new agent and had begun to rent it out privately . am having to go over there tomorrow to evict this tenant who has become hostile..
Im struggling to keep the house with paying the mortgage
does anyone know of housing companies that actually buy houses , i know im gonna make a loss i just cant stick another 5 years of this actual hell

What is wrong with it?
Has it been to auction? This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Nothing is wrong with it , ive just finished putting a new bathroom and kitchen in . it had viewing but it only seems to get offers from investors , last was 30k less than the asking price ! it is only up for the amount to pay back to the mortgage company ..
No ive not looked into an auction but presume id get !!!!!! all to pay back to them from doing it that way ?0 -
Sounds like your valuation of it is higher than what it is worth based on the fact that you are in negative equity.
No idea what you would get at auction but you aren't going to get much from companies that buy property either though! This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Can you post a link to it on Rightmove? You might get some helpful advice. Generally though, if its empty and you're sure you want to sell it then go for auctionI'm a qualified accountant but please make sure you get expert advice as any opinion is made in a private capacity.

Post a link to rightmove so we can give it the once over.
Not selling for 5 years means there is something not quite right (and it could be that it is priced too highly).Thinking critically since 1996....0 -

Its not selling for 59k.
If your offer was 30k less then the best valuation you have is that its worth about £30k or so.
You are in negative equity.
Has anything similar to your place sold recently, that gives you a better idea of the real valuation. Clearly 59k is wrong.0 -
Actually, only in negative equity if the mortgage is more than what it sells for...
As above, give us a link.
Is there a major compromise that you know of? Or bad reputation in the area?

I hope you realise that there is quite a lengthy process involved in evicting a tenant, generally you can't just turn up and evict them
