Unhappy holiday maker

Yes only 1 pool, it's chaaya island. As for remedying the situation, that's for them to sort, I shouldn't be the one finding a resolution to this
But you have to be realistic
You dont want to move for the first part and then move back and you dont want to move for the whole holiday so what do you want.
They have offered a resolution you have to go back with what you want0 -
We're real pool people, but spent 2 weeks in the maldives and didn't so much as dip a big toe in the pool. You will have the most spectacular natural pool outside your door. Don't worry about it, just go and enjoy (and if you're lucky you might get a travel voucher to use for your next holiday). Seriously don't worry. I'm so so jealous!0

I can appreciate that you are anxious about your holiday but the main issue here seems to be that the tour op/travel agent did not advise you. They are at fault & they should have done this but my advice to you would be, by all means put in a letter of complaint to the agent that you booked with & ask for compensation. The only other alternative would be for the agent to find you an alternative holiday which this close to departure, there may not be many options left. As others have said on here, the water is very safe & shallow in the Maldives . You do need to tell the agent what you want them to do though but whatever you decide, dont let it spoil your holiday. Good luck.0

So what exactly do you want them to do. You want to go to the hotel, but don't want to go there if there isn't a pool
Do you want them to stop the works and fill the pool for you?0 -
I'm a very nervous swimmer, but can confirm what the others have said - the sea is very calm in the Maldives, you shouldn't have any concerns.
All three of the Chaaya resorts get good reviews - what alternative have you been offered?0 -
I've been three times - never had a pool on any of the islands we've stayed on, and I can't imagine why on earth it's so central to your holiday - you have the amazing Indian Ocean to swim/snorkel/relax in, why would you want to sit in a chlorinated pool?0

So you're out £3500 and flying half way round the world so you can use a swimming pool? First world problems abound.
Does your Rolls Royce not fit in your garage or is your purse too small for all your £50 notes either?0 -
Yeah, there's absolutely nothing to worry about with the quality of the sea water in that part of the world
