Hi.
Can anyone recommend a good internet wifi signal booster? Like an aerial or something?
And if so recommendations on where I may purchase such items.
Thanks.

To boost a wifi signal. I'm down the corridor in a shared house and the signal is weak to non existent in my room. Have to use it in the kitchen which isn't ideal.0

- Try re-orienting the antenna(e) on your wireless router.
- Invest in a WiFi repeater.

There's no other way around it. The router is in someone else's room (practically a stranger - already asked, he just kind of grunted) right down the corridor (which was the former lounge before).
My laptop is currently sat on the microwave as I type

Why not try the TurboTenna WiFi antenna. It looks like an tv Arial (but it plugs into your usb drive), but can boost your range massively.0

How much do you pay this person for the privilege? I think he's very trusting. For all he knows you may be planning to download some illegal content. This may actually be against his T&Cs depending on the actual setup....practically a stranger...Are you for real? - Glass Half Empty??

Try changing wireless channels to see if you can improve reception. If that fails, get some Homeplugs.0

The landlord pays for it, but I'm sure it's factored into the high rent costs.
I think 90% of broadband users download "illegal content".0 -
