Hello all,
I recently wrote to Alitalia to claim compensation for a flight cancellation (Rome to Heathrow) - Flight AZ210 23rd August 2008.
After delay, I received a letter from Alitalia - dated 17 September 2013 stating the following:
We are writing to you further to your correspondance in connection with delay of flight AZ 210 of 31/08/2008.
We wish to explain that, effective on the 13th January 2009 a different company known a sAlitalia- Compagnia Aerea Italiana SpA was formed, which is completely separate from the former Alitalia Linee Arerr Italiane SpA , which ceased to trade on the 12th January 2009. This means that we are not empowered to deal with any issue arising from your travelling with Alitalia Linee Aeree Italiane SpA in 31/08/2008
Does anyone have any advice, or do Alitalia II get away with it.
