Totally useless Talktalk.
Can anybody help or suggest something. Have been a TT customer for many years and have today been trying to set up a contract and purchase online one of their mobile phones on an online exclusive. Their application process is not working and keeps coming up error and directing me to phone them. I have been phoning all day, have been transferred to dept after dept, going round in circles trying to get this phone. They keep telling me I must go online to order it. I keep telling them their software wont let me and that it tells me to phone. I have spoken to Mobile Sales, Customer Services, various other depts and all they do is transfer me to another dept. Nobody seems to know how to do it. I am getting so irate and am losing patience. All I want is the phone advertised at the price advertised on line. Its not my fault their software isn't working.

Sounds to me like you've had a lucky escape.
Think of it this way...if they're this inept at selling you the phone, God help you if you have a problem!0 -
I have been with TT for a long time and have never had any problems with them, contrary to what a lot of people say, I have found them to be fine. So thought that this would be fine as well, but as I said, i've been given the total runaround and am just being passed from person to person and back again. Might have another go tomorrow as am feeling calmer now. We shall see !!0

I would strongly urge you, or anybody else, to stay well clear. I have been with TalkTalk for years, without any problems, but god help you if you ever need their "Customer Service" for any reason. Despite their website stating they give a warranty for the duration of your contract, they declined to repair my Nexus 7 because it was outside of their 28 day guarantee. I tried, and tried, to explain the Supply of Goods and Services Act, but was answered with excuse after excuse, including it was a "free gift", they don't supply the products (!!!!!!!?) and they "aren't a retailer" . Gave up and got my contract cancelled penalty free. Counting myself lucky.0

Well, been trying again today. Been on the phone ages again, been told to try other browsers, did that, Chrome, IE & Firefox, just the same Error. Transferred to the different depts again, same answers, what a Company. I think I've had enough now, looks like I will have to try somewhere else. Probably have to pay more, but surely there can be no-one as bad as TalkTalk Customer Service.0
