Orange PAYG - Costs More Than Before???

My Orange PAYG does not last as long suddenly?

A £10 top-up would last me months a little while ago.

Now I run out after only a few weeks - no change to my calling pattern, which is very low.

Have Orange increased their tarrif (20p/min now I think) and are they now rounding up the minutes.

What I'm looking for is a PAYG 5p/min and no time limit on the credit or a egular monthly top up required.

Lycamobile National 10 seems a possible solution, but is this a monthly top up scheme or can you just buy the bundle and use the 500 mins till they run out?

cheers

Try Ovivo £15 upfront and no ongoing costs.
    :footie:
:p Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S) :p Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money. :p

well ovivo looks to good to be true

their freedom plan for 0 cost p/m and gives you 150 mins

and the only upfront cost is £15 for the sim

now it all depends on coverage as here in cornwall it can be patchy to say the least

    cheers

I've found Ovivo voice coverage to be very good (they use Vodaphone) but their data coverage is (for me at least) quite poor.

If the coverage charts show reasonable reception for your area then they are worth trying. Just make sure everything is ok before porting your number across from Orange (if that is what you plan to do) and also ensure your phone is unlocked.
  • the price for a freedom sim is now £20 - went up today at 2PM - luckily I bought one before 2PM at £15!
  • I'm amazed Orange are still going. I know lots of people who have left them after being with them for years as their prices aren't at all competitive and they seldom offer any incentives to stay.
