Possible scam but not sure how!

All of this smells of scam. Did you target AD? They are funding their own companies to seek business abroad, not make expensive imports. Do you do much other international trade? Look into exporting with an export advisor locally, direct payments to business accounts are not the first, safe, way of doing business. The idea of an AD company not asking for an AD landed cost, but quite happy to look after transport, export licence and HMRC issues themselves just is ripe. Get advice, they may just be green, but don't just blunder ahead.0

Woah this kind of money could ruin a small business! I hope if it is a scam the police get them, because imagine if they have done this before successfully or will do it in the future successfully0

There seems to be a branch in Al Wadha mall, which is on Airport Road. There's another branch right between the Etisalat buildings, just off Electra. I spent 11h/day, 6 days/week for the first 3 months of this year on that block that contains the old fort as it happens.
Don't get me wrong, I firmly believe this is a scam, just that the address isn't an obvious fake.0 -
BTW this is also the reason the postal system is nothing short of hopeless out there - letters from my Mrs would take at least 3 weeks to be delivered even once they were in the city and going to one of the most established hotels on one of the most famous streets in the modest-sized city.
This also causes the ambulance system (such as it is) big headaches - how do you give a location where an ambulance is needed? Even the oldest building in the country (the old fort we were based at, 250 yrs old) is practically unknown as a landmark to the invariably immigrant taxi drivers.
Way off-topic, I know...0 -
It`s a scam....but a bit different from the usual job offer scams

Ad hominem
An attack upon an opponent in order to discredit their arguement or opinion. Ad hominems are used by immature and/or unintelligent people because they are unable to counter their opponent using logic and intelligence.0 -
Thanks for all of your comments.
After asking for some more info about 5 days ago, he has gone very quiet and no money relating to this has appeared in our account.
Seems like my suspicions were correct and after reading your comments I am convinced this was a scam.0 -
^^I think you'll find that you chose well :-)0

Sounds fishy, they would still transfer each payment based on the individual invoice (which in your case was 10k)0
