Phone 4 u problem

I wanted a Samsung Galaxy and went to phones 4 u. They said they could buy me out of my contract with Virgin, but I had to pay the £199.91 from my credit card, they gave me £50 cash. They put me on to a Vodaphone4G plan at £42 per month. And because it was a top of the range phone this was all the money they were giving me towards my buy out. I have since found out that they misold me the plan as there is no 4G Vodafone in Scotland at the moment. It could be anything up to 2 years before it is launched. If I go down a plan to 3G and 4 G does come out I cannot upgrade until my renewal date. I have written to Citizens Advice about this. Any helpful suggestions please?

I'm not sure I agree that you were "misold". How do Phones 4 u know where you are going to use the phone? You may travel to covered areas.
I think it was "mis-bought".
Only helpful suggestion I can make is to check more carefully what you are signing up for before you sign.

Does the 4G plan cost more than the normal one? I switched from Orange 3G to EE 4G and it cost me the same (I even got extra minutes for the same price).0

Hi joanniepoannie,
Although 4G isn't currently available in Scotland we will update our Vodafone Social blog once we have further news on when it'll be switched on in other cities.
Due to the posting guidelines which company representatives are required to follow I'm afraid I'm unable to link you to it but you find it at the bottom of the homepage of our website.
In the meantime, I can confirm that you'll still be able to use all the monthly allowances and other features with your 4G plan.
Kind regards,
Lee
