Talktalk price rises - can move without penalty, but where?

Ok so Talktalk are a bit rubbish. I think this is probably down to their 'homesafe' service that you can disable, but still sends your traffic off on a chinese merry-go-round resulting in awful page load times and media streaming even when speedtest results look good. They've bumped prices and I can leave for free and get out of contract if I do it soon
But the real question is where to go? Obviously I don't want to pay any more than I have to, but I do need a decent connection (FTTC or virgin, I guess...?).
I'm half inclined to just go get 100mb virgin but it's expensive and so's their phone, so I wouldn't want that. Also, I've had really bad customer service issues with Virgin before - the tech was great until you had to talk to anyone. Plusnet also look ok on paper but seem to quote a lower FTTC speed than I get now.
So - any ideas/suggestions? Definitely has to be unlimited since I have no live TV and use netflix etc quite heavily, amongst other things.
