:j Puzz is back.... and with a :D..

Apologies for my mardy mood yesterday, not sure what sparked it but hey.. I am human/cat/human/cat.. well one of them....!

Thank you for all my lovely messages, really cheered me up..

    So...

DD's work didn't call so hopefully we can now draw a line under that one...

DD is at school again doing revision today, I am also drawing a line under this.. It is up to her, how much or little she does and we just end up falling out if I mention it.. so I'm not going to.. I will pick up the pieces if it all goes horribly wrong with the exams but for my own sanity I have to let her do it her way...

Mother.. slightly less bonkers yesterday.... She is very opinionated and always right so life is quite hard with her sometimes.. but she's my lovely mother and I love her and certainly can't change her....

I have 3 1/2 months until my summer holiday, plenty of time to shift this pesky stone so am not going to worry until after the easter holidays are over.. Monday is my ss 21st birthday so we will be going out to eat, so diet starts tuesday.... will try and do some exercise between now and then mind..... also lined up a new walking partner as I do like an outdoor walk in company of an early evening so that will also start next week...

So a much happier Puzz today.. Just received my BC statement and I am now under 3k....:j I am paying over 1% and no interest yet.. and I am awaiting my noddle report being updated to see if they have given me my precious default yet....

Right off to collect dd........ have a lovely day in the sunshine..

    Hello Puzz :)
I was really pleased with myself Thursday (gardening exercise) and Friday did 3000 extra steps (walked into town by parkin on outskirts) plus 90 minutes of browsing in shops) - it all counts!
am going to buy myself a step counter that I can wear as I go about day to day!

Am amazed how organised you are with the freezer! I have got out of the habit of batch cooking and need to start that again.
how's the exercise going? its spring and will be easier to get fitter - lets do it!:)
    Love n hugs

    Hi Puzz

Wow you are sorted with your freezer food. I am just learning to be aware of the contents of my freezer and ensure we make use of everything before the expiry dates (aka learning curve of being on a DMP :) )

You are also very good at keeping up with your diary.

    • 2 lessons I must ensure I learn from you.

You are also very good at committing to health/fitness/exercise.

    • 1 lesson I should ensure I learn from you....but it's a long way down my list of priorities in life at the moment:rotfl:

Hi Noah and January, thanks for popping in.. Some I have been AWOL...

So what's been happening in puzzland...

Not a lot.... lots of working, cleaning, washing and making the most of line drying in this early summer weather...!

I have had to repot my runner beans as they outgrew the seedling trays in 10 days.. They have been in the new pots for 3 days and are already at least a foot tall...! will have to hope we don't get any frost and plant them outside soon...! Also planted up some tomato seeds as my friend hasn't had a chance to do any this year so thought I would... and all very mse as lovely mother paid for it all..!

Major wobble with dd on monday evening, but all fine yesterday and she got to have a good chat with her sb who is at uni doing it a year later so think she is happier about it all now, she also got some really good grades on some essays.. will see what tonight brings...!

Huge chinese takeaway with dss for his 21st birthday last night... £44.. luckily OH was paying and boy can they put it away.. I ordered 2 egg fried rice, but sort of hid one and now its residing in my freezer for dinner next week with homemade chicken curry.. I also just picked up a pack of battered chicken with a seperate sweet and sour sauce wrongly reduced to 39p.. It came up on the till as £1.79, so I was going to put it back but the cashier just charged me the 39p so that will go with the part homemade chinese next week..

Have been on the treadmill.. :T 20 mins monday and 25 mins tuesday.. today I need to do 30 mins.... but its hot..! Luckily my lounge stays quite cool so should be alright...

No money news, office meeting this morning as with everyone nowadays the jobs are not secure but seem okay for the next year so will bank that worry and carry on...!!!

Car clutch pedal got stuck again today, that's about the fifth time now.. garage couldn't find anything wrong with it when I took it in.. so i'm still monitoring.. its a bit scary though as I just go into coast mode and can't change gear etc... ho hum.... will do a bit more googling...!!

2 weeks until payday.. ish.... one poll up to £15.75, nectar points £31ish.. and have a delivery tomorrow as they gave me a £15 off £50 voucher...

Right we are over the hump of hump day.. bring on the weekend.....

    Hi Puzz

Glad things are going well. I have stopped feeling guilty when I read you have been on your treadmill - and the reason for the lack of guilt is....wait for it....I haven't got a treadmill and it wouldn't be DFW to buy one:rotfl: Also, I can't imagine where I could keep a treadmill even if I was just given one for free - doesn't it take up a lot of room?

However, I do need to seriously lose some weight. I am busting out of my clothes and it wouldn't be DFW to have to buy the next size up let alone the shame of it.

I'm loving the planning ahead for the chinese meal next week - sound yummy. My DH makes a wicked curry, so I am thinking that will be on the menu if the next few days. See what you have done;)

    Hi January,

I have quite a big lounge so the treadmill is at one end and we generally sit at the other so its not really intrusive..!!

Walking is one form of exercise I am quite good at.. (Having done the 26.2 mile moonwalk 4 times..) so when I get in the zone I can shift those pesky pounds...! Obviously walking outside is far better.. maybe you and your OH could do some of that now the lighter evenings are here??

    :jFriday..... :j

So this week I have managed to go on my treadmill everynight...
    Monday 20 minutes
    Tuesday 25 minutes
    Wednesday 30 minutes
    and last night 35 minutes....

don't think I will make it on tonight as I need to cook dinner for my friend who is coming over tomorrow, but then we are going out for a walk in the afternoon so at least will get some exercise over the weekend...

Sunday, lovely mother is coming over to help plant out my triffids... sorry runner beans.. they are huge...!!! no signs of the tomato seedlings yet... I am so impatient...!

No money news, waiting for my £5 Love2shop voucher from RM and nearly finished another survey for them as well. Nectar now at £33. something...

All quiet otherwise.. just how we like it...!! 8 days until SC update my figures so I can do my new percentage.. just wishing the time away again...!!

Next week.. battle of the bulge.. let the war commence....

    Have a good weekend..
