    Afternoon all,

its been awhile since I posted but I have been reading.

Whats happened since I last posted? Well, not much really. I suppose I could count hubby quitting his job. He didn't have another job to go to but was sick of doing the long hours. If they had employed more workers they wouldn't have had to work 12 hour shifts was hubbys argument. Well they were already doing 12 hour shifts most nights but when they asked him to work even longer hours he just walked out.

He's not totally without work though as he is doing a few bits and pieces of paid employment here and there.

Today I went clothes shopping. I needed a few bits and pieces as we are hoping to go away to the caravan in a week or two. Walked me legs off round the shopping centre and came back a couple of hours ago. My daughter asked me to have my Grandson so ive fed him, winded him and changed his nappy and he is fast asleep as I type. Bless him he does suffer with his wind!

News from the Baby House in South Africa. One of the babies in their care was placed in their adopted home on Monday. It was sad to see her go but the girls were happy she had got a 'proper' home.

Nothing else to add really. I'd much rather read your news. My own news seems boring in comparison.

Hope your having a great day.

That is wonderful news Judi. I just hope it works out for the little one and she receives as much love as she has already had from your DD and her partner :)

  • Evening everybody.
Hugs for all poorly people and poorly pets
    Hope everyone is keeping well.

Ds1 got off to uni on Saturday. Had tears (from me) but he has settled in. He phoned me late sat night to say he was on the pi*s with his flat mates and that he was fine. Then got a txt Sunday lunchtime to let me know he was fine and wasn't homesick just hangover sick:eek::rotfl::eek:
So I feel a bit better now. :eek:He may feel homesick on Sunday though as it is his 19th Birthday. What he doesnt know is we are staying in a travel lodge overnight and will be suprising him with a visit. Have bought him a television and paid for a years tv licence for him as well as some other bits for his birthday.

It has been wet and pretty chilly over the last couple of days , my body has felt the conciquences , have been very achy and in pain . Have had my duvet down on the sofa today and snuggled up with the dogs. Was fast asleep when ds2 and dd came in from school:eek:. They were good and took the dogs out for a walk and made me a cup of tea and a slice of dd birthday cake from Saturday. Luckily I had put a chicken casserole in the slow cooker earlier this morning so just made some dumplings to go with that and had it with fresh crusty bread. was lovely, the first time I have used skinless chicken thighs in a casserole instead of chicken breast. Will definately be using them again, was much tastier.
Have a load of washing in the machine , will put it on the airer once finished.

Am now off to have a shower and get my pjs and dressing gown on .
    Have a good evening all:)
