Happy with BT switchover

Just wanted to share my recent happy story of switching over to BT.
Router arrived today and came through letterbox so no waiting
in. Everything up and running with no problems. BT call you on landline and let you know its ready. Activation was before midnight latest so 7.30pm isn't too bad. Lovely connection and wi-fi with Home Hub 4. A smidge faster than old provider (Demon) but you can tell the difference in terms of connection reliability.
I know this won't be the same experience for all BT customers but just to let people know it is fairly simple to get set up. I agree that BT could do more to feel less automated and robotic with their approach to Customer Service. However, it is what it is and with 6 mths unlimited broadband free, a £50 Sainsbury's gift card and triple bonus nectar points I'm not complaining. :j Roll on Infinity when it lands here next Spring!!
If you have a positive switch to BT story to tell post it here, because it might help others to decide.

Former MSE user - I don't post on MSE anymore, or respond to PMs. I would like to be able to officially set profile to "former user" which would be helpful as it seems you can never leave MSE - just choose not to use it!

For those who are interested in any happy stories about BT, the £50 gift card arrived this week. Checked balance with Freephone number on back. Card valid for 24 months, or longer if you regularly swipe it at Customer Services etc. Very happy bunny!
Broadband is fantastic. No cut offs or restrictions. Everything going well. I've had a billing issue to sort out but that's because I swopped before end of contract and BT refunded me straight away the £5 extra they took. To be expected with some overlap.Former MSE user - I don't post on MSE anymore, or respond to PMs. I would like to be able to officially set profile to "former user" which would be helpful as it seems you can never leave MSE - just choose not to use it!0 -
A happy BT customer? Be careful they don't have you stuffed and mounted.
I might have been one too had they actually bothered to show up and install the Infinity I'd ordered.0 -

That's a shame that happened to you and it must be frustrating. I'm not on Infinity so can't comment on that part of the service. I hope you sort things out soon?
I have had to contact them to sort out a stray payment here and there with line rental, but I see this as a teething problem with yearly line rental already on the account and the system not picking things up. They are polite and refund when requested so I can't complain. I can't fault the internet service. Super speedy broadband and as much as I can eat. Fantastic! There are some happy customers with BT but 100% agree they should be aiming to please everybody really.Former MSE user - I don't post on MSE anymore, or respond to PMs. I would like to be able to officially set profile to "former user" which would be helpful as it seems you can never leave MSE - just choose not to use it!0
