I used to shop at Aldi when there was one close to work but since I have moved office have moved to Tesco. Because I am spending a lot on shopping I tried aldi again last night, so special trip in op direction. I have just priced up what I saved and I saved £5 which is really not as good as I remember!!!!0

I shop at Aldi a lot now and agree with above post re the car park getting busier and busier!
But a big thumbs up here too for Sainsbury grapes at £1 a punnet. As good as any you'll find at higher prices. Give them a go!0 -
in our local Sainbobs their basic green grapes are £1.00 per 500 gm punnet and the non-basic ones were £2.00 per 500 gms punnet, the non-basic ones are being pushed at the front of the store as a 'special offer' at double the price of the basic ones The only differance I could see were that the basic ones were slightly smaller but just as sweet at half the price .Give you three wild guesses which punnet I chose
:):) yup the £1.00 ones and they were delicious
:)
the organic seedless red at Sainsbury's are currently £2 for 400g0 -
I know what you mean about parking spaces in Aldi, in the past 3 years the local one went from having an abundance of parking to everyone squabbling over spaces. (And its in an industrial estate theres loaaads of spaces around, I guess some people just dont want to walk the extra 50 feet from the other car park!)
Handy hint for those who shop there though..
Monday - Thursday : best days to shop as Friday -Sunday are manic at times.
If you can try to shop early 8-12 ish... everything's fresh out and fully stocked. Your also missing the start of the kiddie rush time. Midday from 2pm to 6pm is the busiest times so go earlier if you can. Alternatively go late before closing time...itl be nice and peacefull but you run the risk of missing some sold out super 6 items.Tesco CC : 12/07/2013 £1596 - £946
Debt to Mum : 10/07/2013 £1000 - £300
Deposit Savings Jar : 01/12/2013 - £1200 -
Monday's best day for the flowers, they're amazing quality and value"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

50p a week is £26 a year if you buy a punnet a week.
That's equivalent to a week's free shopping at Aldi for a single person.
Who wouldn't want a week's free shopping????????

Stood in Aldi's yesterday doing mental maths and the snack punnets (same price for red and green) are definitely cheaper per kg than the larger ones.0 -
Well yes I suppose its right, the more faffing about they have to do the higher the cost, labour has to be accounted for.
Personally I dont care what colour grapes are as long as they are nice, and these are.
If
you really want both colours, i.e. for posh fruit salad buy one of each and mix your own. They freeze great.
I didn't know you can freeze grapes?0
