I've noticed things like this in aldi, but on the whole the value and prices are second to none for me.Having said that I have noticed a massive influx of people since the tv ads, and reckon the prices might increase in the future:D
Sadly the prices EVERYWHERE are increasing. I am spending more and more time searching out bargains, reminds me of the 70's.0 -

I know but they will have to do something to pay for all the ads!I've shopped there since the mid 90s!!:D"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

To be honest the ads look quite low cost, not that I'm any kind of expert but they seem to rely on good humor and scripting rather than big name stars.
But you are right they still have to be paid for. Hopefully the extra customers the ads bring in offset some of that.0 -
when the local Aldi first opened, our Thursday shop meant we could choose almost any spot in the car park - these days we are lucky if we can get IN the car park! its full of posh cars! luckily there is a car park just across the road! lol.
yes their prices have gone up - but so has everyone elses! the quality remains the same though. although now and again I could have a little niggle - the sausage and beans has changed and its bluddy awful now! but, I do find if you complain then its listened to and very often they will change supplier if enough customers are moaning (ie not buying)!0 -
As this is a shopping thread I've moved it over to the Food Shopping and Grocery board.

No. Just terribly slow. I got some very nice green grapes from the fruit shop for fifty pence a punnet the other day so it must have been on the brain.

£1.39 and you can have green OR black.
£1.89 and you can have a mixed punnet.
I'd DEFINITELY be choosing the green only....0 -

This is a mse thread. If you choose to squander 50p that's your choice but hardly a helpful post to money savers.0 -
Could be that the mixed grapes come from a different source / supplier or are of a different quality.0
