Just to say we always advise posters to be wary of random newbies popping up to help by PM, as PPCs have been known to put plants on here to trawl for information. Not saying that you are a PPC plant, but for good reason I personally would not respond to a PM from a newbie with only one post.
Perhaps you could summarise the useful information that you have and post it here, so we can all benefit?
DaisyI'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0 -
Hi There,
I am new to this site and not quite sure how to use it so I hope I am doing this right!
I need help, my work takes me out of the country quite a bit I came home to a letter from the co-op stating that this letter was going to be the last one before I receive court action. For a parking ticket!!
But in the letter it states that as a result of my failure to pay they have been "unfortunately" left no option but to instruct solicitors to draft a Particulars of claim.
They are threating all sorts in the letter saying that if I don't pay they could seize my assets ect.
They want money from me that I cant afford.
Can somebody please help me - Can I stop this?
How would I go about writing a letter and to whom?
please help!!0 -

You haven't got a letter from the Co-op - you mean from CEL or 'DEAL'? You can just search this forum to read all the other threads like yours, just by putting 'CEL' or 'Co-op' into the 'search this forum' heading at the top of page one of the current forum threads (use the 'Forum Jump' to get there - hit 'GO' - bottom right). When you then use 'search this forum' you will find endless threads about CEL and the fact they don't always go ahead by any means, they lost a case this year AND apart from that one, they never turn up to Court so you could claim around £90 expenses if they try to drag you to a hearing!
Don't panic, start your own thread using the 'new thread' button (also at the top of page one, the parking forum 'home page' that Forum Jump takes you to). BUT before starting a new thread, I suggest you need to read a load of other, newer and more relevant threads first so do the search to find MUCH more recent info than this, and settle down with a cuppa. Here's one result to start you off - but do your own search!
