Does anyone have any idea why I cant unlock this phone on Tmobile?

Ive tried the website's and programs but Tmobile is listed twice on the list and maybe Im using the wrong boxserial or griffin codes?

Anyone done this ? how?

yes thats the settings, there is a software download in my signature as well that will set it up for the model you wish to unlock, use Code 1 of the 7 first on the 6230, if that does not work then code 7...

    thanks ill try it out
  • Hi

I'm having trouble unlocking a T-mobile 6230, I've tried the codes from the software in Browntoa's sig but once the codes have been entered the phone just seems to do nothing, it doesn't say the code is wrong, the code will just stay on the screen. The phone is only a couple of days old so I'm wodering if it has some new kind of protection? From memory unlocking Nokias in the past they would just say phone unlocked after pressing the final #, or at least tell you the code is bad.

    Anyone got any ideas?

:edit: if it helps the IMEI is 356238002447387

these are the codes (prob code 5, if no good try code 1 then 7
    #pw+115 824 035 320 137+1#

    #pw+215 465 232 336 170+5#

    #pw+313 546 336 147 650+7#
sometimes you have to press a button to enter it (like the top left) also try it with and without sim as well as puting a sim in that it is not working on
  • thanks drahcir, I'll give that a try

the imei's one dct4 phones (most nokias) are pretty safe as it is very hard to clone without specialised equipment and knowledge, and the work involved means that it is not really worth it eitherearlier nokias are a different matter (up to 8210 type) as these can easily be changed, although the phone values now mean this would be uneconomical as well

    gamma,

I had the same problem unlocking a nokia 3220 last week. The solution I found was to put in a SIM card from another network. Then when you power up the phone it will ask you if you want to enter an unlocking code. Once you've entered the code it should tell you that it has been unlocked.

    Hope this helps.
