One of my cars, a 1997 Mk1 MX5 has no power steering, and it's a little stiff to park, but once over 10 mph, you'd never know or care.
Funny how different countries have different perceptions - i had a 1989 MX5 Jap import, and it had power steering.
MX5 would be even 'purer' without PAS though, so i can imagine why someone didnt order it on new.0 -
Oh aye. I know. I'd a 1994 Peugeot 306 diesel with no PAS. Oddly someone had spec'd it with metallic paint and an electric sunroof, both of which would have cost more than PAS.
Our expectations were different then though

One of my mum's fellow teachers did just that when he tried to sell his Allegro in the local paper.
He listed the 4 wheels plus spare, seats, steering wheel, carpets, gear stick, pedals, rear view mirror, mudlaps, headlights etc.
He also put his name followed by his qualificaltions at the end of the ad, nothing special, just the ones every other teacher in the school had but we always thought he was a bit odd..14 Projects in 2014 - in memory of Soulie - 2/140 -
That reminds me Dibuzz of another 'small ads; in the local paper.
When her husband died a woman phoned the local paper to put in a obituary, the usual type of thing. The telephonist asked her if she'd like to change it slightly as she still had 4 words left. The woman thought for a few minutes and then said, yes add this .......
