Morning all
Awake at 4:44 again but managed to get back to sleep again, it will be ok next week as hubby is on he early shift so we'll be up at 5:30. In case any one wonders why I don't complain to Mr Noisy about being woken up, the houses are ex local authority, nice big rooms but lousy sound insulation so he's probably not really being that noisy.
I don't know what hubby wants to do today, y'day he decided to go in to work and sort out a problem, and needed a lift to work, then to the local DIY place and then back to work. I needed a sleep in the afternoon as it all took longer then he anticipated & I got tired. Whatever he decides for today he can use Shanks's Pony I'm on strike.
Lol, Floss, you are quite safe, I have a lousy aim.
Bitsy, stop ganging up on me, lol.
Molly, do as I say, not as I do!
Anyway, Molly is fresh out of hospital, I've been out for weeks.
Laura, I hope your cold gets better soon.
Tru, well done on the blanket.
PP I hope you are holding together
Tibawo, well done to your girls
Sistercas, sorry to hear about the piggle
Camelot, hugs.
GK, chilli burgers sound yummy.
I think I'll do chicken and HG new potatoes for tea with HG runners and carrots.
Right, first breakfast (cuppa, ginger biscuit and BP tablet) eaten, it's time I unloaded the DW and started on my 2nd breakfast (wholemeal toast & cuppa).
Have a good day everyone
Hugs HesterChin up, Titus out.0 -
Had to pop to the Savacentre yesterday for something and I stuck my head into Sainsbobs and snaffled the last of the reduced fresh chicken breasts at a pound a piece and a free bottle of herb and lemon marinade so £2.00 was well spent.:):) The chicken went into the freezer at least two good sized meals there once (I like to extend meals ) I slice into strips and cook maybe a lasagne and veg with one, and a pasta bake with the other
The marinade I will use on some fish this week.Dunno why it was free but the chap said I could have it and I'm not one to look a gift horse in the mouth
:)
I made a big Victoria sponge cake for DGS Jack so I will be his favourite person this week
:)and I managed to get DGS Ben's book he wanted from the library.
Just waiting for eldest DD Shelley to arrive for her sunday morning coffee fest
<<hugs to those in need >> the sun is up at the moment here in north Kent but the forecast is rain later
Have a good one what ever you are doing
Cheers JackieO xxx0 -

Very similar to our planned tea - Aldi FR chuck, h/g taties, h/g spinach, h/g french beans, h/g carrots, h/g leeks, h/g apple crumple & custard for pud.
Lots to do today but I know I won't achieve most of it as I have a new book to read & I've got my Christmas knitting on the go too
Will find a nice film to watch & hog the sofa this aftie!
Really need to swap my clothes over for the colder months & put the linen trousers away again. I decluttered the ironing pile of all my summery stuff, as it will get washed again when it resurfaces from the attic next spring
Want to check my Christmas craft stuff too - I've had some new (for me) ideas for presents & stocking fillers and want to check out how much they will cost to produce. We're discussing various plans at the moment which may mean I get a craft/sewing room of my own
otherwise my stuff all has to be put away again when I've finished
Right, off to make brunch for me & DH - toasted muffins with poached eggs, grilled bacon, black pudding & mushrooms :drool:0 -

Good morning everyone

Busy morning here but the house is looking a lot tidier and have done plenty of washing, drying and ironing. Last lot in now but it's raining so I think dreaded tumble drier will be out later, unless it brightens up again. It's very windy so without the rain, great drying weather.
These cooler evenings are making me feel like knitting so craft bag is coming out this afternoon to see what wool I have to make my infinity scarf/cowl. DD wants a new crochet headband with a big floppy flower so will check that out too.
Pork satay for dinner and need to make a menu plan for the week later, off shopping now to make use of a £6 off £40 voucher that expires today.
Well wishes for all sick people and pets and hugs for anyone who needs or just wants them. Keep well and safe and have a super day

Morning everybody, hope all is well and the poorlies are getting better. It feels freezing here and DH had lit the log burner so it def feels autumnal. We had our best friends round last night as it was our wedding anniversary on Friday (38:eek:) but we couldnt go out then with DGD staying over.It was later than expected as the taxi firm was playing silly beggars, saying only one driver would go up their road so they'd have to wait till one o clock. This was after ringing at 11.15!The lane upto their house is unlit, unmade and a bit potholy but ok if you take it slow, and they have used the same taxi co.for about 15 years.Anyway one turned up eventually, but I feel tired today.
DH has gone on a mercy mission to get more paint for DS2s house as he has the inlaws 2b helping out today and they are running out,so I am doing a batch cook session.I have a turkey leg in the sc,and mince in the Remoska to make into pies, chilli etc.We are having roast pork for tea-not sure who's in but it doesn't really matter -we'll just have any leftover spuds & veg tomorrow
Right ,hope you all have a good Sunday x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
Morning all,
just getting breath back after yelling at the tv: the end of the Great North Run
Cold and damp here so I dug the lamb out of the freezer yesterday & DH will enjoy a big 'Sunday dinner' as it feels like winter.
We put the wooden loungers back into the garage yesterday, no use for them until next summer
.
Too nasty to go out so I'll do some sewing and start thinking about my Christmas lists this afternoon.
Have the best day you can xI can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -

Indulging in a bit of Hestering eh BB??
:rotfl: :rotfl: I thought the same
Nice autumn morning, breezy so am chancing some washing on the line.
Why when everyone is at home do I end up feeling like I CBA with anything?
:o In my head I have all these great plans of domestic goddessness (yes I just made up that word) but I just don't achieve it
:o
Anyway tea will be the usual chicken, roasties, parsnips and carrots I think. Not much OS other than BM being on.
Hugs and spoons all round x
Camelot hugs for you and DD xx
Hester me? Gang up? Never
Sistercas sorry about piggy, hope she's OK xxxI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knife

Hello all.
Camelot-hugs for you and family today.
Was at the airport by 7.30 to collect DD and boyfriend, who emerged like the walking dead! Took him home, came home ourselves, she has unpacked, sorted out her washing and put a load on, distributed pressies, and conked out in bed. Won't let her sleep too long or she will be up all night! Asked her what she fancied for dinner and she said anything at all, American food isn't that good there's just loads of it! So roast chicken, roasties and veg it shall be, but goodness knows when as I have to go back to the airport to collect OHs aunt and uncle. Their flight was due just after 12, currently expected at 2 no doubt because of the weather here as its wild.
Right, am off to pack my case whilst they are still out, have a good day all!RIP Iain
