DSR allows you to inspect an item bought by distance, if they have informed you of your rights under DSR you have 7 days from the day after delivery to cancel your order. If they have not told you about your DSR rights you get a lot longer (3 months) to cancel.
You do have to cancel in durable form (posted, emailed or fax) within the 7 days of delivery not just send the item back.
Were you told of you return rights? Check any emails and paperwork to see what they say.
Did you inform the seller you wanted to cancel or just send it back?
How long after delivery did you do either of the above?
Did you open the item? Some items are exempt from DSR, perishable items are exempt and some skin care products become perishable once a seal is broken.0
