The vauxhall card is their new world card. The problem with their current lineup is half of it appears to be for average credit history types, and the other half basically for those with lots of history and lots of money! They're completely ignoring the market segment that sits in the middle.
And now they're completely ignoring anyone who doesn't have a Vauxhall. Also, no more free equifax reports0 -
I wouldn't call the Vauxhall card the new Aspire World card, the biggest advantage of the Aspire was free non-sterling transactions, making it idea for people like me that travel a lot. The Vauxhall card has the standard fees for non-sterling transactions...
You do get a higher 'cashback' rate, but it's rather worthless unless you plan on buying a new Vauxhall and even then only with participating dealers...
I guess the Classic extra and Progress cards are now meant to be more mid-range cards, while progress used to be aimed more towards the lower end before, so it's a little confusing...0 -
It's as good as the new aspire world card as its a world MasterCard and the aspire is now gone!
I wonder if old aspire world holders will now get a rate hike to try and force closure. Does that then mean the classic extra is their only one now that offers no foreign loading fee? (I think the really swanky one with the silver logo does but that doesn't count as its for rich people only :P)Oh, you wee bazza!0 -

I think you're reading far too much into this. The Aspire World card disappeared for a while a few months ago then re-appeared.0
