Opening A Second Santander 123 Account

I understand that you're allowed 2 Santander 123 accounts. Has anyone opened a second one, and if so how did you do it? I'd hoped I could do it by logging in to internet banking and opening a second from there, given that they know all my details. However, it still forces you to go through the whole process - about 4 pages of stuff to fill in.
Give a man a fish, and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish, and you’ll get rid of him every weekend.

Is it really that painstaking to fill in 4 pages of stuff?0

When they already have those details? Yes.Give a man a fish, and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish, and you’ll get rid of him every weekend.0

Just go into the branch then.. . .I did not speak out
Then they came for me
And there was no one left
To speak out for me..

Don't do it then. Make a point and turn down their 3% AER account, for possibly a 1.5% one. That'll teach them.
PS. What do you mean you'd have to fill in all your details for an account elsewhere?
Who mentioned "elsewhere"?Give a man a fish, and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish, and you’ll get rid of him every weekend.0 -
I did, for pretty obvious reasons. You object to having to enter your details at Santander, so you go elsewhere to open an account. And have to enter all your details there, lol.
Not intending to go elsewhere, thanks. Just thought they could use my existing details. They know my name, address, marital status, and a whole bunch of other stuff. Other banks have this capability.
So, if you don't mind me asking, did you open a second 123 account? If so, how did you do it?Give a man a fish, and he will eat for a day. Teach him how to fish, and you’ll get rid of him every weekend.0 -
I do indeed have more than one 123. The application process must have been quite easy since I can't remember anything untoward about it. Definitely applied online.0

It is often a sensible move to get people to fill in details again.
Too often, people don't tell the bank they've changed their mobile number (or other personal details). Asking them to fill everything in again ensures you have up-to-date details.
Just ask them to check what you put on screen, and 50% of people won't read it.0
