If I really have to! The bedroom hasn't been decorated in over 30 years and is still perfectly fine.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.

Far too often so this time I'm sticking with white!
In 2011 I painted the walls in the lounge but didn't like them. Last year I decided I wanted to tile the floors downstairs so I repainted as well... but I didn't like the floor because I laid it badly. About 12 weeks ago I decided to rip it up and put laminate down again and if I'm doing the floor then it'll be a good time to repaint the walls, ceiling, skirting boards and doors...
I've probably decorated 6 times in the 8 years i've lived here0 -
I think the answer to OP's question is - re-decorate as often as you would LIKE! It's all down to personal choice, really. What looks perfectly fine to someone, would look downright dilapidated to another.
I personally wouldn't consider a property not re-decorated for 30 years "perfectly fine", but if it's fine for the owners, why not? If you think the children rooms look grimy, ask yourself if that matters to you (because it certainly doesn't matter to them!
). If you'd rather do it and not think about it, go for it!
