Strange that they put the price up by a 1p at the start of the week near me.0

According to the Asda website:From tomorrow morning (Friday 13th September) you’ll pay no more than 133.7 pence per litre of unleaded and no more than 138.7 pence per litre of diesel at any of our 223 forecourts nationwide
I drive a diesel car, and a tankful lasts for ages. I've just checked my receipts and I last filled up on 1st September at Asda Rugby and paid 138.7p per litre.
So will the prices come down tomorrow, or have they increased them in the meantime so they can do a 'roll back' to the original price ?0 -

 How could you imply such a thing? :rotfl:
Prices around here have risen 2-3 pence in the last couple of weeks. :mad:0 -
Is someone on commission from ASDA?
Another thread saying fuel is cheaper, Dropping prices. Except its not any cheaper.
Bit like the roll backs. Put the price up then reduce it again to say look we are on your side and lowering prices.
Stop increasing them in the 1st place.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
I don't think I'll sleep tonight waiting on this price cut.0

Damn the lack of an Asda filling station in this area. I think the closest is the Chandlers Ford Hypermarket0

Around here this wonderful cut would bring it down to the level of Sainsburys and Esso.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

it wont matter at our local tescos. they are always 2p dearer than the cheapest local petrol station in the area.
asked their store manager about why their price promise on fuel they have or had. he assured me they where as cheap as the nearest petrol station.
but thats a sainsburys that is cheaper. and he denided it was cheaper.
it must show though in their takings though. hardly any one use it for fuel? the forecourts always empty.0 -
still about twice what it should be for sub standard as well !0
