Shrunk: Matthew Walker Steamed Puds (2 x 110g) down to (2 x 95g), yet keeping the same price at Morrisons. Boo.

Re: shrinking confectionery. Govt did a deal with major manufacturers to shrink sizes in order to reduce sugar and calories. They complained so govt allowed them to charge same price. It has been phased in quietly. DEFRA used to have a helpline you could call to ask questions about food but it disappeared.

Cadbury Fingers have shrunk, they were 138g and weigh 114g now.

With laundry products (detergent and fabric conditioner) I always put in less than the recommended amount. I put a dot on the bottles every time I do a wash, with a permanent marker pen. I got 54 washes from a 38 wash detergent. Then got 84 from 60 wash fabric conditioner.

Actually did you look at the size of the Daz box?

Not shrinking food but shrinking flowers! I'm used to flowers going metric and coming in bunches of 10. I bought daffodils today from Tesco and there are just 9 in the bunch. ☹️ I could be unlucky but I'm going to check in future. If it's deliberate then they're making an extra £1 profit on every 9 bunches sold. 🤔

Incidentally I got some YS long stemmed roses for £3.75 in the little Coop last week. They're still looking good and there were 12 in the bunch. Definitely worth checking. 😉

Just counted my Tesco daffodils - 18 in 2 bunches, so looks like maman is correct. Still worth it IMHO for a January splash of colour.

18 daffodils in a bunch for 95p in Aldi today!! So twice the number of flowers compared to Tesco and for less money. I've heard of shrinking violets but Tesco have taken it to a whole new level. 🤣
