It should be first come first served. Most of the latecomers are only buying because of all the hype the last couple of days. They should be last in the queue.
And the ones who applied first never intended to sell and make a profitsee how the vultures are circling already........me, me,me I applied at 2030hrs last night
but will keep the shares for the yield

Sometimes, I wish there was some kind of 'Un-thanks' button on this forum to complement the 'Thanks' button. Perhaps it would be a 'Good grief' button, or maybe a 'For crying out loud' button.0 -
The worst of humanity, come the apocalypse, has been demonstrated in this thread. I blame the Tories, they bring out the worst in people.0

BBC just reported 330p a share, right at the top of the range.0

You would have to be a complete an utter iphone muptard to buy shares in this useless company, unless its for a quick buck and sell on 1st day to even dafter muptards.
I used to sell up to 50 items a day on ebay/amazon marketplace, bit less now but I rarely use RM now as they are a) hopeless b) are expensive compared to couriers for everything except letters and very small parcels/packets with low value items c) a lot of items aren't tracked - almost all courier items are tracked and are ALSO cheaper
Their staff are useless and more interested in going on strike
Why o why are sheep buying these shares - RM are struggling and the competition has barely started to compete with them. Its because they listening to the media sheep.
I own shares in lots of companies - like Vodafone where I have a lot of shares and that has proved fruitful so far and will once their Verizon stake has been sold off and as soon as that happens I will bet AT&T will buy Vodafone
For someone who reluctantly used to use RM a lot only 5-10 years ago to now when I rarely use them id say that's a worrying sign as im not alone.
RM is like BT, a dinosaur that has stunted the growth in their sector in this country. Unlike BT at the time of the share issue, RM has a lot of competition that is far far better. If RM stop using hopeless post offices and use supermarkets or drop off centres then that would a good start. Post offices open when everyone is at work. Our local one closed at lunchtime one day to go on strike. pathetic
In fact the only reason id get some shares is to claw back the money these hopeless muptards owe me from providing a mostly abysmal service in the last 15 years. Luckily I don't use them much nowStevie Coppell's record breaking blue and white royal army - championship winners 2005-60 -
Lucky for you, but only a minority of people can have that advantage. And parcels have a knack of being big and heavy.
It's not selling though. Can't remember when I last ordered from anybody still using RM. High-price merchants as well as discounters seem to have given up.
My nearest RM collection point is a lot nearer than anybody else's, but it's still a car trip, and their advantage is negated by not having any parking space. Lug bulky heavy parcel across town to multi-storey and find lift not working, no thanks. Arranged for their convenience, not thought out from the customer's point of view.
Never understood why RM made me go to the sorting office while Parcel Force would leave parcels at the sub post office that used to be across the road. But nearest sub post office is also a car trip now anyway.
But now I'm glad nobody uses RM, because they've started leaving parcels with neighbours. For me their best selling point was not doing that. DPD don't, unless you tell them to.
Anyway, the first thing RM will have to do when privatised is rationalise the delivery network. They'd have done it years ago if it wasn't for the unions, but the unions are finished now, because the management will have the threat of simply selling the whole business to TNT, who will promptly close most of the network down.
Agreed RM are hopeless
Moronic decision 1 - local po's stopped taking anything over 10kg, stating that customers must use the main po in town - which you cant park within 1/2 mile of - brilliant ill lug a 25kg box 1/2 mile you muptards !! oh nope Ill go to your cheaper competitor which has onsite parking
Moronic decision 2 - you were out cards - often not filled out or not even left because customers are mindreaders - ever thought about using tech like SMS or email you muptards
Moronic decision 3 - reducing time to claim for postage failures
Moronic decision 4 - put prices up so high this year that post offices are nearly always empty and they are now 2-6 times the price of their competitors for almost all items
Moronic decision 5 - going on strike - strike action is for lazy people
Moronic decision 6 - overcharging - lying about prices - like today the stupid foreign muptard stated I couldn't send a parcel by 1st recorded with £100 compo as it had to go special delivery (at £9.50ish instead of £6ish non tracked 1st class). Sent via collect+ instead at £4.89 and its tracked.Stevie Coppell's record breaking blue and white royal army - championship winners 2005-60 -

If you are going to call someone a muptard
probably a good start to get your facts right0 -

Couldn't disagree more. Live in remote rural area and the RM are the most reliable, competent, unfailingly excellent service by a factor of at least 1000. Haven't yet found a courier service which doesn't a) abandon perishables at an unoccupied house because they couldn't be bothered to find correct address b) not even try to deliver up a farm track which is perfectly navigable for ordinary vans but has inconveneient gates to open/shut c)allow unauthorised strangers to sign for parcels d) dump parcels without obtaining any signature at all e) have couriers who know how to use a map or open their mouths to ask locals for directions (our house is not on satnavs) f) have 90% of drivers who are incompetent and uncaring. All that applies also to the so-called special highly trained high quality deliverer of Passports who twice failed to deliver, twice swore blind that they'd tried to and had taken photos to prove it - and then showed photos of the wrong house ...so it appears they can't actually even read, which would explain a lot! (house names clearly displayed).
As for the "iphone numpties" or whatever your phrase was - seems to have evaded your immense intellect that many small savers including retired people, who've been massively screwed over for years by pathetic interest rates, have gone for the RM share issue out of sheer desperation to be able to heat as well as eat, and are going for the yield, not a fast buck.
As for the disenchanted workforce - I'd have thought that owning shares in their own company would be a huge incentive for them not to go on strike but instead to improve the service still further and thereby increase their own income.0 -

I too bought shares in a company that did well once. And I too now feel I am a investment guru and financial wizard, and more than qualified to call everyone else a muptard if I feel like it.
And I love your word muptard. I think I'll get a tattoo done.0
