Did I do right?

You did right.
The advice to steer clear of her in the future is that of wisdom, although it may not feel right, right now.
All the best.0 -
Thanks for the comments.
I have spoken to her sister this morning, and this isn't the first time this has happened. She has a drink problem and does this alot, thats why the police knew exactly where to go.
I don't have any real contact with her since we left school 20 odd years ago. Know her sister better as we used to live next to each other.
I will be just ignoring her from now on. Not a subject to joke about, especially with my past experiences. I will do the same again if it happens with one of my other friends, but not for her. Just hope it doesn't get to 'the boy who cried wolf' situation.0 -

It's incredibly common for alcoholics to threaten suicide. Very rare for them to actually do something.
Ignore her completely.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll

You waited 20 minutes ? If someone sent me a message about taking pills, I'd be phoning the police immediately.
If you get the chance tell her "I attempted to save your life, so I'd like some thanks"0
