Letting Agent - "Whats your problem"

I don’tunderstand this, is there anywhere I can go who can set the record straight

After explainingto the letting agent I've not even beat around the bush, I have been told I’m not effected as I thought? Now thememorandium period of the DRO has ended? Surely this doesn’t just whitewash allmy file, I was always under the impression I had a lot of negative data repayday loans (2009 – 2011) and this is one of the things that ultimately helped lead toward myrelief order – one of the facts was strong that my file was already considered wreakedas it were, in that I wouldn’t have any other options to deal with my debt

Worst case –they say I can have a guarantor who would need a credit check, ok, can thisstill happen if my potential guarantor is also guarantor to another relative?

They seemedto be getting very frustrated with me, think I should have kept my mouthshut, that's how I feel

Edit theyseem to want to credit check us both now – does this sound right?

Please accept my apologies if this is wrong board

Ok I'm not really sure what you are asking I'm guessing your trying to rent a property you were honest with the letting agent and explained about your DRO.

They appear not see this as bad as you do and after they carry out the credit check may even be happy to let the property without a guarantor. Letting Agents don't see everything on your credit file I'm not honestly sure what they do see but it's not like applying for a loan.

If they need to they will ask for a guarantor who will have to be credit checked.

I at one point had quite a lot of debt with a bad credit record but have never had a problem renting a home. Was only asked once for a guarantor but they gave me the option of paying a lager deposit which I did.
  • They credit check all over 18's living at the property, i didnt understand anything else you asked sorry

Have read the OP twice and still got no idea what it's about.

    The Mulberry one???

Letting agents usually pay a third party organisation to run credit checks, Homelet, Letsure etc. The CRA of choice I believe to be Call Credit.

They will judge the guarantor on his/her affordability to cover the potential debt

The OP was honest with the OP and didnt forget any info out (explained about the DRO) and consequently has meant the OP failing the criteria set by the LA for a place to live. The OP was told they can have a guarantor and wanted to know if them already being a guarantor for another relative would be an issue.

Is that the gist of it OP ?
