Not one close enough to me but thanks for the heads up!0

Thanks sarah1972.
Worth noting that you need to be a Tesco Clubcard holder to register for this.
I've booked for Sidcup tonight, so I'll see any MSE'rs in the area there.
Happy eating, everyone!Life's what you make it....

These seem to be the ones available for the South East London postal district, as I've tried a few searches (SE9, SE10, SE13, SE18):
Bromley-by-Bow HANCOCK ROAD, BOW, LONDON, E3 3DA
Sidcup EDGINGTON WAY, SIDCUP, KENT, DA14 5BN
Purley Extra 8 PURLEY ROAD, PURLEY, SURREY, CR8 2HA
New Malden Extra 300 BEVERLEY WAY, NEW MALDEN, SURREY, KT3 4PJ
Yiewsley Off Yiewsley High Str, TROUT ROAD YIEWSLEY, WEST DRAYTON, MIDDLESEX, UB7 7SX
It's shame that the Sidcup one is the nearest to me, as there's a huge supermarket in Lewisham, which is much nearer.Life's what you make it....

Or - they may have filled the spaces available and not be repeating at that store. For example FlyingDutchman mentions my nearest store which doesn't show as available now.0 -
Went to one of these recently. Both mysef and hubby were given 2 goodie bags each at the end. Was a bit boring but well worth it. We didn't apply though we just received an invite through the door.0

I've just come back from the Tesco Food Evening and it was pretty good.
There were a number of breads to try - including walnut, olive, muesli and pretzels - followed by some sweet treats. This included chocolate tart and granola slice. The piece-de-resistance was the bread and butter pudding, with raspberries, which was devine.
The goodie bag was great, and heavy, and contained the ingredients needed to make the bread and butter pudding (sans the brioche), plus a few other bits.
I did ask them about new ideas and whether they had heard of CroNuts, which I was surprised to hear they hadn't. I told them they were going down a storm in the U.S. and had now reached these shores.Life's what you make it....

This seems like a good thing, I've always wanted to know how they make breads and pastries, especially those continental pastries etc.
Did they give you all those things that are in your pic FlyingDutchman?
Just a slight shame that the nearest one to me is 17 miles away!0 -
Thanks for this. I have booked for myself and OH to go next week.0

I think you'll be a bit disappointed if you are expecting any kind of baking lesson on how they cook their bread.
You are taken through a number of flip-board images, which includes the staff and producers involved in making the bread; the benefits of bread; the products they make etc.
Yes, I was given everything in that picture, except the dishcloth;).
I would advise being at the front of the queue when they hand out the fresh bread. That way you'll get a bigger choice of what's available.
Incidentally, the bread and butter pudding I alluded to in my original post is Almond Brioche Bread and Butter Pudding. The only ingredient you don't get is the brioche. 'Due to the short shelf life', they said.
Last thing: they actively recommend spreading the word about this. I have a leaflet here, asking you to email the person's details to foodevening@uk.tesco.com. They will 'do our best to invite them next time'.
This would be good for those that can't make the dates this time, but would like to be invited to any future events.
We were told that over 200 people had been invited to these tastings.Life's what you make it....
