Over the past few days I have been looking into where money comes from and how it is made (it is not simply printed)
I have found quite a few articles and video documentaries about our monetary system, and it is all flawed and based on nothing more than debt, it's entire existence depends on someone being in debt - so that me or you can have money (that is my short version)
Please watch the videos and read the articles on this website, I would love to hear your thoughts on it etc etc.

I have no involvement in this site, I think it presents the information nicely in bite size junks - some of it is a tad condescending, but please don't let that put you off.
Regards.

It certainly isn't 'printed' - it's 'virtual'!
It is 'made' from a mixture of old school networks and young ne'er-do-wells.
Luck plays quite a large part, and so does skill.
But some might say that they are lucky enough to feel no need for large amounts of money.

Oh no, not this again!
OP - how would the world be better if money were 'simply printed'? Who would print it? Who would be in charge? What would be the immediate consequences of a control on money creation?
Personally, I believe we should go back to a time when those obviously evil, nasty, greedy banks weren't in charge of money creation.
A time when land ownership didn't depend on unfair and irrational things like money, mortgages and debt. A time when you could simply obtain new land and property on the basis of killing your neighbour and torturing their family. A much 'fairer' system, you knew where you stood...0 -

That's right, it's another fractional-reserve banking, money isn't real, it's all one big con, and the truth is here in a YouTube video thread!
Don't worry, there'll be another one next month.0 -
The people are waking up to this con.
Which is why more and more are using Bitcoin as an alternative currency alongside traditional currencies.

This was an excruciating task. I only watched 'Holly'.
So there is a little girl who should know that money comes from the tooth fairy, and can be found under the pillow when a tooth has been put there.
However, instead, she asks a dumb bear where money comes from. If she joined this forum she could speak to a lot more dumb bears, who can't utter a single word of sense.
Anyway. Watching young Holly proves that 'Bonnie Langford Syndrome' still exists.....0 -
And once again a poster who has woken up to the lunacy of a global economy based on exponentially escalating levels of compound debt awarded to individuals and organisations based on no other criteria than whether they are likely to be able to create further exponentially escalating levels of compound debt, is ridiculed and sanctioned by board members who have done very nicely out of this system for a number of years.
Never mind the fact that this system is proven to have economic collapse hard wired into it time and again, that a few percent of people own 90% of the wealth, and that the vast majority of the participants in this game of globalised musical chairs will never live in anything other than penury supporting a super elite of people who do nothing other than create imaginary money and reward themselves handsomely.
Yes, ridicule away.0 -

Many people who ridicule Bitcoin do not understand it and fail to see the liberating and empowering aspects of it.
Bitcoin is not just a payment system (although that is all it's used for at the moment). The Bitcoin protocol allows people to do business using digitally signed, verified and time-stamped transactions without the need for third parties.
It is being continually developed and could one day be used for things as diverse as voting and authorising commercial contracts such as property sales.
Bitcoin has not just economic implications but social and political ones as well. So when people talk of Bitcoin as having potential to "change the world for the better" these are the things they mean.
Let's hope they are right.0 -
