Hi
I had my iphone 5 nicked yesterday and couldn't trace it on the 'find my iphone' app as my phone has been turned off. I went down to the vodafone shop who have transfered my sim to a cheap phone I got for 20 quid, so hopefully it can't be used. It also needs my PIN to get in.
Just thinking out loud just now, I would like another iphone5 so would vodafone let me pay off the rest of my remaining 18 month contract and start again...or would it be better to buy another iphone and use the SIM I have now under the same contract?
reading that back I think it'll be the latter!

Presumably you didn't have mobile phone insurance? Sometimes home insurance covers items taken outside the home so worth checking that, if you have home insurance.3 stone down, 3 more to go0

thanks for the replies...I have contents insurance but once the excess is taken off and the no claims discount gone, it isnt worth it...just have to take the hit0

You have a few options...
1) Buy an Android phone. Same functionality much lower price.
2) Buy an iPhone 4/4S
3) Buy an iPhone 5S SIM free
4) Wait a few months and snap up an iPhone 5 for a fraction of the price second hand.
Nobody on here (bar the Vodafone rep ) is likely to recommend an early upgrade. If you are looking to save money Android is most likely to be recommended. If you cant live without the newest iPhone I would give the 5 a little bit of time to come down in price.0 -
Sadly, the fraction for item 4 will be only 25% at best, as it was at the previous release.0

yes when I rang vodafone to explain my situation they said wait til the price of the iphone 5 comes down due to the 5s and 5c coming out the next day.
On another note, I bought a cheap 20 quid Nokia and they put my SIM on that...It worked ok at first but now I can send text but not receive...anyone any ideas why this is? Cheers
