Blackberry 8800
I've been given a Blackberry 8800 by my employer. From googling around, it appears that the phone should have a built-in GPS receiver. However, I can't seem to make it work.
When I go outdoors and select "Refresh GPS" from Options / Advanced Options / GPS, it sits there for a while displaying "Scanning for Satellites...", and then returns to the previous screen showing no fix.
I spoke to the Blackberry support desk at work, and to T-Mobile, and they both have no idea (they just point at each other).
Two questions:
(1) should I expect this to work?
(2) is there any trick involved in getting this to work (e.g. do T-Mobile and/or the Blackberry people at work have to do anything)?
Thanks

I have the same phone and had the same issue. However i think its something to do with the BB GPS mapping software and not the GPS on the phone itself.
Go to Yahoo and do a search for Yahoo Go (or Y Go). Install this and use this for maps. Its MUCH better than the mapping that comes with the phone and comes complete with a host of other useful bits and pieces as well. Any more issues, send me a PIN 250B5E1C or message me here
