Demon Home 8000 customers - why you should look elsewhere

I have been a loyal Demon Home 8000 broadband customer for many years.
I know there are others loyal to demon, who want to keep their email address and are waiting for fibre optic so this info might help you to compare those packages.
Here is why I am switching:
I guess we all have problems with broadband providers from time to time. We very rarely post when things are great.
However I would advise Home 8000 customers to check out their options. £22.00 a month is a lot to pay for 50GB fair usage at low prioritised speeds. Suffice to say I parted company with a smile on my face.:o
I really need to update my signature. I've paid loads off since my last post!

Here is why I am switching:
- They want more money from me each year for 50gb fair usage provision.
- They want me to sign up to a new 24 month contract on Business Broadband packages. Again no Unlimited broadband unless you pay more money.
- They will let anyone have business broadband. You don't have to be a business customer. I wonder how businesses might feel about that?
- Their Customer Loyalty Team tell you they can only prioritise traffic and fast speeds to business customers.
- They want to charge you for keeping your email address should you switch.
- The Customer Loyalty Team informed there are no plans for Fibre Optic broadband to get you to sign up.

Former MSE user - I don't post on MSE anymore, or respond to PMs. I would like to be able to officially set profile to "former user" which would be helpful as it seems you can never leave MSE - just choose not to use it!
