There is also somewhere you can upload the form after you have filled it in.

I was able to set up a DD for my Amex Gold online but not my BA Amex (which I am still paying by debit card)

It is not possible to change the DD without interacting with a human

I always set mine up by using the messaging centre.

Is it possible to amend a direct debit while logged in? I have messaged them.

No, it's not possible, but you've found the solution already.

(I hope you meant you messaged them to amend the DD, not to ask if it is possible to amend the DD)

Ok thanks. If you are messaging them then it might be worth confirming the following as I was asked these follow up questions:

    1. The payment to be collected is (maximum, minimum or fixed amount) 2. The new bank account you've provided is a personal account. 3. The new bank account is in your name. 4. You must be the only person required to authorise debits from the account.

I provided my old and new sort code, account number and bank name.

I know this is an old thread, but it's one of the top hits on google. I couldn't find the form in the places where it was mentioned above, but I found a link to it in the AMEX FAQ section: http://www.americanexpress.com/uk/disclosure_form/disclosures.shtml?

calling Amex is always my first thought, and yes, calling a Brighton landline number.
  • old thread, but if anyone is interested you can set up the direct debit via the phone app. quick and easy.

Amex cs is great but it was in my experience severalnyears ago this required calling as is the case with some utility firms.
