AMEX setup Direct Debit???

I have just received an AMEX platinum everyday cashback card.

It says on their site that I can set up a DD by downloading a form from the site or by calling them to send me the form. Maybe I am a little blind but I cannot find this form anywhere on the site. Does anyone know where it is?

Have you registered your card for online access? If so, anything in the Payments section? I looked but I cannot find the form but I know it must be there somewhere as I did setup my AMEX for DD.
Alternatively, just give them a call.

The link is for NZ DD - not sure if it is valid for a UK Direct Debit.

    :o

    Are you logged in?
I cannot locate the Amex webpage, but Google says: "Simply log in to Online Services and download the direct debit form,..."
  • Click contact US and go into the messaging centre and you can ask them to set it up via that.
  • You can also just phone them and arrange the DD via the telephone. Use this number to avoid the expensive customer service number - 01273 696 933.

Whenever I've called the expensive number, they have offered to refund my phone charges, which is great as those numbers are included with my call package!

They are the only company who is happy to call me on my 070 number (although the phone company is not allowed to pay commission in cash, they pay in call credits..)

I think AMEX are literally having a laugh. It was not possible to setup direct debit online before. Just recently I saw the following text on AMEX website:
Direct Debits can now be set up online in addition to the original postal method

Here is the link to actual page: americanexpress.com/uk/content/membership-benefits/platinum-cashback-credit-card/rewards.html On this page you just need to click "pay by direct debit" > "setup a direct debit".

however when you try to follow the process, they still just provide PDF form and ask to sign and send it to them. (C'mon!)

So as far as I know there is no way to setup a direct debit online with AMEX.

Anyway, if you were just after the form, you can find it if you follow provided link

Don't you think they may have found it by now - the original request was 4 months ago.

Thanks for this! Had to google the answer as nothing on Amex website. Unbelieveable.
