Tenants from Hell Protected by (disgusting) law

A responsible person will have an insurance policy in place so that if they become unemployed through illness then they will still receive a monthly income so that they can pay their rent and other necessary bills. It seems like the tenant did not do this.0

How many people, even with those with mortgages, effect such cover?
The real reason is the lack of savings culture in this country. Nanny state picks up the tab far too easily.0 -
Even the best referenced, highest earning, gilt edged tenants can have a change of fortune at any time. Being a professional, white collar worker does not make you some form of super human, immune to accident, illness or any other random issues which can suddenly turn your life upside down, remove your income or ability to work and leave you struggling financially.
Nothing the LL (or tenant for that matter) can do to prevent !!!! happening from time to time ... that's life!
True, but most big company employees offer 6 months sick leave on full pay and have some kind of long term sickness insurance.0 -

I worked for an international resort company, one of the biggest in the world, and i got.... f___ all.
Genuinely ill for serious reasons. In hospital, consultant said it was the worst case he had seen in 20 years for that condition. The company paid me SSP ONLY, badgered me to return, then messed me about with wages, and finally I was bullied out of my job.
Ironically when i left they hired two people to do my job (fairly specialised role, was on a team of 2, so easy to know when they advertised for 2 people and my colleague was still there), so perhaps they shouldve just paid me correctly....0 -

Consider yourself reported.
Thank you, I look forward to receiving no problems from the team at MSE.
I presume you listed the reason for reporting as 'amusing post' then?0 -

Fail to see your logic, as I and many others supporting the tenant here are Landlords!
I'll give you benefit of the doubt that you have little knowledge of Housing and Tenancy Laws ... perhaps that is being generous though ... maybe you have little knowledge of anything :rotfl:0 -

Insurance is not a 'cure all'. My insurer took over 5 years to pay up, and only then when I got a solicitor involved and they realised they couldn't wiggle around any longer. It is a good idea to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought.
