Good value peanut butter?

Options
Any recommendations for a cheap but tasty peanut butter. We like smooth and crunchy. We had been buying Kernel King from B&M bargains at 59p for 340g jar which was incredible value but they
don't seem to have it anymore. Tried the Aldii smooth one this week but it's not very nice at all.

  • I actually think that the Tesco everyday value one is nice. They only do crunchy though.

  • Lidl peanut butter is good and they do smooth and crunchy.
  • I personally prefer Tesco's value one to any other one, 62p for 340g, and I believe the one in Asda is the same.

Most supermarket peanut butters contain palm oil and are extremely unhealthy as well as being unethical. Try Meridian Natural Peanut Butter from H&B. No added sugar or salt either.

  • I tried the Meridian one before but it was very oily in consistency and I didn't like the flavour.

Probably because you're used to the supermarket brands being hydrogenated to stop the oils separating out and having tons of salt & sugar added. Peanut butter in its natural form is a very healthy product but the ones you buy in a supermarket are far less so.
