Customer Service Work From Home

I have over 5 years experience in working in customer service environments, predominantly in call centres.
For various reasons I am now looking at working from home. As customer service is my most relevant skills its this area of work I'm
Looking for.
Does anyone know of any legitimate work from home customer service jobs / companies? So far I've only found Arise which seems to have some incredibly mixed reviews. Anything else just seems to be random adverts on things like gumtree which I am a little reluctant to respond to!
Any help or advice much appreciated!
Thanks in advance

Hi Amy!
How about being a freelancer on Odesk? There are lots of jobs there for Customer Service. You will have to create a good profile though to get the jobs posted.0 -

And a lot of them are scams unfortunately - either looking for people to enter captchas or girls for cam work.0 -
I've looked at Odesk and never had much joy with it. One or two basic admin jobs but anything customer service based has always lead to nothing which is a shame!
Ill take a look at Sensee and the other two mentioned definitely.
If anyone has any experience of arise are they able to PM me? I'm just really curious given the mixed responses I've found online!
And if anyone has more suggestions then keep them coming!!0 -

And some are genuine.
About six years a bloke posted on here that he thought he'd found a genuine working from home job and was planning on applying...... a lot of people scoffed. Six years on -he's still there. The reason I know is that I followed his posts through applying, training and going live on calls..... and I'm still there too.
Working from home has a lot of advantages....and some disadvantages too. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone with small kids at home though as you can't have any "domestic" noise in the background when on calls.
I know people who work at sensee and also firstsource both outsource for very well known companies -at least one of them is currently recruiting (my contracts stops me saying which one I work for and who the clients are but a bit of reading back over old working from home posts would tell you ).
Essentially both are call centre type work -some people like the work, some people feel working from home makes up for the type of work it is , and some people try it and just don't like it ....... just like any other job really.
I'm on PAYE, bonuses, get medical, and dental insurance , I'm glad I didn't automatically believe it was a scam as some people advised at the time.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0 -
I did the arise training but ultimately decided I preferred my current role. Two other people I worked with were on the same course and stayed. Both found they liked the job but after a while found they weren't getting enough hours (hours were on a bidding system- fine so long as there are enough to go around). Both eventually came back to their original jobs with one of the original companies I mentioned.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

I haven't posted here before but have been reading the forums for some time. I work self employed part time and have been looking to supplement my income. I applied to Sensee but they have told me that it is not suitable to have my bedroom doubled up as an office. Since I don't have a spare room in the house that would be the only place I would put a desk and additional phone line
It is a shame as that would have suited me down to the ground

I would also like to work from home, I have looked on MSE, but with no luck.
There was teletech, apparently not a scam, but when I go to look they either want German speaking or its in Belfast?
Just had a look at Sensee, the only job requires French speaking, urgh I don't speak french.
These jobs just seem like some myth, or speical group which I cannot join.0
