    Well, we can rule out it being a wireless connection, work having asked for a cap or a non-complient router. My work are desperately trying to get me a fast connection because I need it!

    Although I am increasingly suspecting BT have put a cap on the line without telling me or work. I can't see how anything else makes much sense.

    You need to plug your PC directly into the openreach modem and measure the speed there.
