    only joking of course but you must realise that your buyer will most likely be buying paint as we speak, so stop stressing and let them come and measure up, as a gesture you could ask them if they want the walls repainted as you intended doing them any way, if not its saved you some time
  • I think you sound like a very nice vendor doing all this work. The last two places I have moved into have not had this kind of work done after furniture has been moved. When we move into our new place I fully expect to have to paint from top to bottom + plaster holes and sand down woodwork that the dog has chewed. I'm not even expecting them to remove all the dog s**t from the garden.

    I really don't think they will be expecting your house to be in showroom condition two weeks before you move. They will probably prefer getting more of an idea of what it looks like without furniture, pictures etc as they will be able to imagine their own stuff in it more easily.
