How come aliexpress? It looks like they are just a marketplace for all these companies. Do they support you in case of problems?

AliExpress have an escrow system, in event of a delivery problem you're supposed to get your cash returned (which is a plus seeing as some Chinese suppliers seem to take a load of orders, run, and set up under a new name or five)

That said, I know of people who've found the escrow system to be significantly less helpful in times of conflict than you'd hope from looking at the adverts/blurb.

Hmm ok, I just had a quick read of section 75 with credit cards, it doesn't apply when buying through third party (I'm guessing like this) so I'd rather have the credit card protection.

Major problem with China that i see every day is the knock off fake clones and users looking for support .

  • I thought I'd do a quick test to see their CS for after sales.
I sent Tmallbox, merimobiles and also minideal (not listed in the first post) a message stating I bought a phone but when it arrived the touch screen didn't work. Only minideal replied.

So you presumably didn't quote an order number, used an email address that had presumably never placed an order with them, and presumably gave them no details whatsoever about the phone you said didn't work?

    I'd have ignored you too.
  • Merimobile just replied too.

No, you would have asked for an order number, like minideal did...

Pretty obvious customer service when your clients are global and some wouldn't be able to type a full email.

The reason I am looking for opinions on these sellers is because some of them do not reply once they have your money. Read reviews on Antelife, broken phones, no delivery, missing parts, ect... they don't reply.

If you were in CS in England, you would reply with a 500 work reply just to ask for the order number. Don't kid yourself.
  • Stay away from Focalprice, based in China. they are dodgy. I bought a tablet from them but got a tablet with lower specifications instead. The website said it is dual core 1.5Ghz. I got dual core 1032 Mhz. They advertised rear camera 1.3 mega pixel. I got rear camera 0.3 mega pixels. Instead of Screen Resolution 1024 x 600, I got 800 x 430. Also, the tablet's ac adapter stopped working within a month and the tablet's battery is failing and lasts only 10 minutes after a full charge, and that is after 38 days of use!!! I wasted £40 (plus £10 for a new charger) and they are not responding to my emails.
